An irritating event happened to me as has happened to many of you I'm sure. I logged on to Facebook and found many of my friends left messages that I had been hacked. They wanted to let me know. It's a good thing they did since the hacker hadn't contacted me so I was in the dark to the fact that he was using my name to get people to FRIEND him. Once they were on his Facebook site, they realized this man was not me. Others knew they had already friended me so there must be something wrong with the request. One such friend went to the hacker's site to find out what he was up to and managed to get this picture before the site shut down. Do you know this man? Was the hacker stupid enough to use his own selfie or is this a picture of a friend of his or someone he knows? Could he have copied and pasted this picture from the Internet and it was a total stranger to him? Will he use the same picture again somewhere else for another scam? If he does now you know to beware when you see this picture. I immediately contacted Facebook's support team, and the investigation was already going because one of my friends had contacted Facebook, also. In just a few minutes, I was told that the hacker's site was deleted permanently. I'm glad about that, but also, realize there will be another site this hacker can and will hack into and I want to bring it to everyone's attention. Awareness might help. So I have changed my password and notified my friends if any of them want to unfriend me and then refriend me to make sure they are on my Facebook page that would be fine. Apparently, the scam was about a $90,000 grant. He's moved on. Next time, his scam might be about something else. Keep this hacker moving if you can.
